Old Fashioned Sour Cream Drops

1/2 c vegetable shortening
1 1/2 c sugar
2 eggs
1 c sour cream
1 t vanilla extract
2 3/4 c flour, sifted
1 t baking powder
1 t salt
1 t baking soda

Cream together the shortening & sugar. Beat the eggs lightly & blend into sugar mixture.
Stir in sour cream & vanilla. Sift flour, baking powder, salt & baking soda together & stir into cremed mixture. cover & chill in refrigerator 1 hour or longer.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Drop cookie mixture by teaspoonfuls, 2 inches apart, onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes. Cook on wire racks.
