Macadamia Nut Pie

Pastry
1 c flour
1/4 t salt
1/3 c shortening
1 T vinegar
2 T cold water, up to 3 Tbsp
Filling
3 eggs
1/8 t salt
2/3 c sugar
1 c maple syrup
5 1/2 T butter, Melted
1 t vanilla
1 1/2 c macadamia nuts, halved

Pastry
Stir rogether flour & salt, cut in shortening with fork.
Stir in vinegar & cold water until pastry forms a ball. Roll out on floured surface.
Place into a 9" pie pan and flute edges.

Filling Slightly beat 3 eggs. With a wire wisk, mix in salt & sugar; stir in maple syrup.
Add melted butter & vanilla, stir mixture.
Add macadamia nuts. Pour into pie crust & covre edge of pastry with foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Remove foil & bake an additional 25 minutes.
