Scary Larry
2000
Larry: (singing) She was way too cool. It takes away your hair. It takes away your jump shot. But all I know are the things that I got.
Larry: I'm a hairdresser. I've been a hairdresser now for 30 years. I have 14 national championships in hair.
Larry: I'm ranked second in the world as a hair dresser. I turned international in 1984, and uh, I'm one of 900 people in the country that are allowed to be an international guest artist.
Larry: Howdie Doodie!
Larry: My dog's name is Rocky. Rocky has saved my life. He is the sweetest dog I've ever known. He's a good boy.
Larry: - and he likes tomatoes, he likes carrots. Yeah, all the things I'm not supposed to feed him. I love my dog.
Sandy: The kids all love him. And I think the reason they actually love him is that they like to drink beer, and they go in and steal his beers whenever they can.
Sandy: And one time they had a party one night and I didn't feel good and I told my son, Mark, I says, "Mark, now I don't want any more than eight to 10 people. No more. 12 at the most. 15 tops."
Salon worker: It's really been an asset. That's worked out real well. The ladies are really excited about having a guy around. It's definately improved the scenery.
Michael: Right when the cop walked in the door, he say Larry hanging out of the closet, so he was just clear in sight. And he sees him and he's like, "You're an adult, why are you hiding?" And then Larry gets up, "I'm just a DJ!"
Larry: So I sit there and I went, "do-duh-duh-duh," all night long and the cops never bothered us.
Salon worker: He does a very good job with hair. He washes hair good, he gives you a good scrubbin' when he washes your hair. He used to wear a rug. And I hated that rug. I always hated it. When I saw him at the Legion I thought, "Why don"t you take that stupid thing off? You"d look so much better." Finally he got rid of it, and we were all so glad and we were, you know, proud of him. Because he looks much better without that stupid hairpiece that he was wearin'. And so now he's in his natural hair and we're all just tickled to death for him.
Salon worker: He was a real blessing to us.
