Pride & Prejudice
2005
Elizabeth Bennet: It would be most inconvenient since I swore to loathe him for all eternity.
Mr Darcy: May I have the next dance, Miss Elizabeth? Elizabeth Bennet: You may.
(from trailer) Mrs Bennet: Is he amiable?
(from trailer) Lydia Bennet: (excited) He's single. Kitty Bennet: (excited) He's single.
Mrs Bennet: Oh, my goodness! Everybody behave naturally!
(from trailer) Elizabeth Bennet: From the first moment I met you, your arrogance made me realize that you were the last man in the world I could ever marry.
(Mr Darcy finally opens his heart to Elizabeth) Mr Darcy: You must know - surely you must know that it was all for you... I would have to tell you, you have bewitched me body and soul and I love and love and love you. And never wish to be parted from you from this day forward.
Mr Darcy: (struggling, to Elizabeth) I love... I love... I love you.
Elizabeth Bennet: I've been so blind.
Elizabeth Bennet: (On Marriage) Is that really all you think about? Mrs Bennet: When you have five daughters, Lizzie, tell me what else will occupy your thoughts, and then perhaps you can understand.
Mr Darcy: Mrs Darcy.
(last lines) Mr Bennet: If there are any more young men out there wishing to marry my daughters, send them in! I am completely at my leisure.
Mrs Bennet: But don't you wish to know who it has been let *to*? Mr Bennet: What I wish is immaterial, my dear, as you so obviously wish to tell me.
Jane Bennet: Oh, Lizzie, if I could but see you happy. If there were such another man for you!
Elizabeth Bennet: I could more easily forgive his vanity had he not wounded mine.
Elizabeth Bennet: Believe me, men are either eaten up with arrogance or stupidity.
Elizabeth Bennet: He looks miserable, poor soul. Charlotte Lucas: Miserable he may be, but poor he most certainly is not. He owns half of Derbyshire. Elizabeth Bennet: The miserable half?
Mr Collins: ... which can only be achieved through intercourse (pause) Mr Collins: Sorry, through the intercourse of friends and family.
Mr Bingley: (outside practising his proposal to Jane) So then I walk in... Mr Darcy: (pretending to be Jane to help) Mmmm. Mr Bingley: (bowing to Darcy) Ms Bennet. Mr Darcy: Mr Bingley.
Mr Darcy: I... do not have the talent of conversing easily with people I have never met before. Elizabeth Bennet: Perhaps you should take your aunt's advice and practice?
Elizabeth Bennet: Do you dance, Mr Darcy? Mr Darcy: Not if I can help it.
Mr Darcy: Do you expect me to rejoice in the inferiority of your circumstances?
Mr Bennet: Your mother will never see you again if you do not marry Mr Collins... And I will never see you again if you do.
Elizabeth Bennet: He's been a fool, then so have I. Charlotte Lucas: We are all fools in love.
