It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown
1966 (TV)
(Lucy scoops out the innards of the pumpkin) Linus: Ohh. You didn't tell me you were gonna kill it!
Linus: You'll be sorry if he comes!... Good grief, I said "if"! I meant *when*! *When* he comes! I'm doomed. One slight lisp like that could cause disbelief in the Great Pumpkin forever.
Charlie Brown: I got a rock.
Linus: I've learned there are three things you don't discuss with people: religion, politics and the Great Pumpkin.
Linus: Never jump into a pile of leaves with a wet sucker.
Linus: There he is! There he is! It's the Great Pumpkin! He's rising out of the pumpkin patch! (Linus faints and the Pumpkin is really Snoopy) Linus: Did I faint? Did he leave us any toys?
Charlie Brown: When are you going to stop believing in the Great Pumpkin? Linus: When you stop believing in that fat guy in a red suit who goes, "Ho, ho, ho!"
Lucy Van Pelt: Thank you, Charlie Brown. You made an excellent model.
Lucy Van Pelt: (about to bob for apples) I'll go first. Charlie Brown: Yeah, because you've got the biggest mouth for it.
Linus: (hears rustling) What's that? (pause) What's that?
