President Beck: Cities fall but they are rebuilt. Heroes die but they are remembered.
Jenny Lerner: When I was 11, I stole $32 from your wallet. Jason Lerner: When you were a baby I once dropped you on your head.
President Beck: Life will go on, we will prevail.
Mark: How do we set the nukes inside the comet and get out before they blow? Orin Monash: We don't. Andrea: Look on the bright side. We'll all have high schools named after us.
Boy: Hey Leo, now that you're famous you'll get a lot more sex than anyone in your class. Leo Biederman: Really?
Alan Rittenhouse: I know you're just a reporter, but you used to be a person, right?
'Fish': (reading to a sick man strapped to a bed) Well, let's get started. Moby Dick. Chapter One.
Orin Monash: Fish. Why the hell do they call you FISH? 'Fish': Well, Spurgeon... Sturgeon... FISH. Took about 15 minutes my first day at the Naval Academy.
(the shuttle is starting its final run at the comet) Andrea: Captain, it's been an honor to serve with you. 'Fish': It's been my pleasure, Andi. (pushes the throttle and flies into the comet, setting off the nukes)
President Beck: We always thought the deadline for public knowledge was the publication of next year's budget since we've spent more money than we can account for. That won't happen for two weeks. I don't suppose I could prevail upon you to wait two weeks in the name of national security? Jenny Lerner: Two weeks? There's no such thing as two weeks in the news business.
(the President and Jenny are making a deal for her holding off the story) President Beck: We'll make the announcement at a press conference tomorrow night. We'll give you full access and a center seat at the conference. Jenny Lerner: I want... President Beck: Want? Jenny Lerner: May I have the first question at the news conference. President Beck: All right, center seat and first question. I warn you, Ms Lerner. It may appear that you and I are over the same barrel; but, it only appears that way.
Leo Biederman: (to his parents) I have to go back for Sarah.
Jenny Lerner: We know everything. Alan Rittenhouse: Nobody knows everything.
